Children’s Memorial Flag Raising Ceremony

Join the Colusa County Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) on April 26 at 10 AM at the Colusa County Courthouse, 547 Market St., in Colusa, for the Children’s Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony. This event, hosted by CAPC, marks the conclusion of April’s Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month activities. The community will honor children who have tragically lost their lives due to abuse and neglect. Representatives from various community organizations, will be in attendance.

It’s essential to raise awareness about child abuse and neglect in our communities. Nationally, millions of children are affected, and tragically, some lose their lives. Locally, Colusa County receives numerous reports each month, emphasizing the need for community vigilance. Our community can all play a role in supporting children, whether through mentoring, volunteering, or providing a safe home for foster children.
